Laurel + Ben / A Perfectly Private CEREMONY IN THE GARDENS AT LAKEWOOD PARK

From the first time we talked about their wedding day plans, Laurel + Ben knew exactly how they wanted their entire day to feel. They knew that the most important thing at the end of the day was that they were together, married as husband + wife.

The couple opted to get ready together, before their private ceremony. Ben helped Laurel with the delicate clasp of her necklace and Laurel tied Ben's tie with a little help from Ben. They enjoyed the quiet of such seemingly small moments turned into meaningful memories.

Their vow reading and private ceremony was held at Lakewood park on a beautiful, HOT and sunny day in May. The weather could go in any direction in May in Ohio, but the rain held off until we were safely inside the Masonic Temple. The couple met with their officiant and began sharing the most beautiful, personal and emotional vows. There wasn't a dry eye in out little group. The relief in their faces when they were given the signal to seal the marriage with a kiss. This beautiful couple matches each others energy so perfectly. They create great balance in one another and you could feel the joy they shared together.
After some photos around the park we headed back to the Masonic Temple for their Vow Reading in front of family and friends. Laurel and Ben walked down the aisle together as partners, read vows meant for others to hear and shared their second first kiss to the sound of joy from those attending the ceremony.
A choreographed first dance, a pie table, macrons at each seat and tables filled with loved ones sharing beautiful stories made this entire day even more magical.
I loved how personal their wedding was and how the chose to stay true to their own hearts. Such a beautiful day.
