A Pocket Wedding at Inn Walden

Walden Inn and Spa Wedding

Lilly reached out to me after a dear friend, Kim referred her to me. I had photographed Kim’s intimate vow renewal in the fall and she mentioned my name to Lilly for her pocket wedding this spring. Lilly and I hit it off immediately over the phone. She is so sweet and so funny, I found talking to her like talking to a friend. We discussed her ideas for her wedding and she outlined her details so beautifully that I could see the entire day before even walking onsite.
When I arrived at Inn Walden, I took a little time to wander around the halls admiring all the light and the beautiful architecture. When I entered the couples suite, Lilly greeted me with a great big smile looking absolutely stunning in her champagne gown adorned with a flowy, floor-length cape. She showed me all of her detail items as Anthony wandered in and out visiting with their family. They chose to get ready together in their suite and Anthony’s son joined him to add the finishing details to his wedding day attire. Everything was so well thought out and every moment was savored with joy and love.
Lilly + Anthony invited a small group including their siblings and children. Everyone wore black which really made the beautiful colors of her bouquets stand out. Florals from Marlee Floral were expertly designed and executed. They added so much to the space without overshadowing the moment. The cake was designed by Amy Kekst f.o.o.d and was truly a masterpiece! Her sugar work is such beautiful art, I don’t know how anyone can eat it!
The ceremony was performed by Karen at Perfectly Celebrated. The couple did write their own vows which were so sentimental that they each quoted their favorite song without telling each other! Talk about true love! There were a few tears shed, but so many more smiles and a little laughter that it seemed truly intimate and special.
I am so happy that I got to be part of this amazing day! It was such a great way to launch my 2021 wedding season. Lilly + Anthony, I wish you all the happiness in the world!
